About Velatus
Named for what we do.
Velatus — Latin for veiled, concealed. We build defenses that work before the adversary knows they exist, for the people who stand where the threat arrives first.
Mission
Protect the force from the airborne threat — at every echelon.
The unmanned systems revolution handed cheap, precise, scalable airpower to anyone who wants it. Velatus exists to take that advantage back. We develop and field layered counter-UAS capabilities — passive and active — that protect installations, formations, and individual soldiers from hostile unmanned aircraft.
We are a focused company: one threat class, one doctrine, engineered end to end. That focus is why our systems integrate as one defense instead of a shelf of point solutions.
Values
What we hold ourselves to.
Fielded over promised
The measure of a defense company is what works in the hands of an operator, not what renders in a concept video. We build for the field first.
Discretion
We protect our customers' operations, our partners' information, and our own technical edge. What we don't say in public is a commitment, not an accident.
Proportionality
Countermeasures must be safe to employ where people live and friendly systems operate. We engineer graduated options so the response never exceeds the threat.
Speed with rigor
The threat iterates in weeks. We move at that pace without abandoning the engineering discipline that safety-critical systems demand.
